Dovetail House is a three storey Victorian house, sympathetically converted to meet the needs of our service users. It is situated in a private residential area of Mansfield, within easy walking distance of the town centre and local public amenities.
Our vision and commitment is to work together with other professionals in providing for all our service users a common sense of wellness, belonging, acceptance, respect, understanding, support and inclusiveness, with a single focus: to create a stimulating environment that permits us to empower, enable and better serve those with long term conditions of the brain. |
Bedrooms
All the bedrooms at Dovetail House are spacious, light and airy.
Access for the rooms on the upper floor is via a lift if the service user has certain mobility difficulties. We decorate the rooms to an individual service user's taste and there is plenty of space for them to place items they have brought with them. We recognise that people have a need to have ornaments and pictures that are important to them and familiar objects close at hand make this a true 'home from home'. |
Dining
We offer a wide selection of meals that are cooked and prepared using local fresh ingredients for all our residents.
All dietary requirements are catered for including vegetarian and non-gluten options. We also encourage service users that are able to mobilise to eat out at the many restaurants and cafes in the surrounding area. For more information on our dining menu please feel free to get in contact with our home manager as we will be more than happy to discuss any queries you may have regarding specific dietary requirements. |
Garden
Here at Dovetail House we understand how little things make a place feel more homely.
Our garden features potted plants and hanging baskets showing off a huge range of foliage and flowers. The garden is constantly maintained bringing the service users out into the open on warm summer days. We also encourage those who are able and willing to help in the garden to do so and assist to tend to the many plants within the home itself. |
